The much-anticipated clash between Market Bosworth RFC Colts and Leicester Forest RFC Colts took place at Market Bosworth, with the home side initially setting the pace. Market Bosworth came out strong, showing excellent organization and defensive discipline, using a well-drilled blitz defense to frustrate Leicester Forest in the first half.

Bosworth opened the scoring just 5 minutes into the game with a well-worked try, which was successfully converted, giving them an early 7-0 lead. They followed this up with a penalty on 27 minutes, extending their advantage to 10-0. Bosworth's defense remained resolute, and they went into halftime with a deserved lead, looking solid across the park.

However, the second half saw a shift in momentum as Leicester Forest began to assert dominance in the scrum, and their physicality in the set piece became increasingly effective. Just 8 minutes into the second half, Bancroft crossed the line for Leicester Forest’s first try, which Duffield converted to narrow the deficit to 10-7.

Five minutes later, on 53 minutes, Mawby scored another try for Forest, taking them into the lead at 10-12. Leicester Forest, now growing in confidence, continued to pile on the pressure, and Duffield followed up with a try of his own, which he converted, making it 10-19 to the visitors.

With Bosworth struggling to regain control, Concannon produced a stunning solo effort, running from halfway to score another try, and Duffield once again added the extras, securing a bonus point and taking the score to 10-26. To cap off the day, O'Connor scored his first try for Leicester Forest Colts, and Duffield’s flawless kicking performance continued as he converted yet again, bringing the final score to 10-33.

Despite a valiant first-half performance by Market Bosworth, Leicester Forest’s superior scrummaging and clinical finishing in the second half proved decisive, earning them a hard-fought victory on the road.
