This was a really close encounter between two teams that know each other well and share the same values. In recent times Ashby have had the better of our encounters so it was good to get a win and to remind them that we are still a good team.

Ashby drew first blood with a try under the posts from their centre Chester.
Forest put them under a lot of pressure and eventually broke through when Jackson got clear and Isaac‘s long pass found Liam on the wing and he scored in the corner.
Forest took the lead a few minutes later when Will’s crossfield kick bounced nicely for Ethan (see video). Will added the conversion.

Ashby responded to make it 12–12 before Jacksons late solo effort sealed the victory for Forest.
